Stamping and sheet metal parts, requirements for machining accuracy

2025 10/13

Precision machining refers to the machining of parts with precise dimensional tolerances, using precision machining equipment and special machining requirements.

Rough machining refers to the rough machining or machining of ordinary machine tools to a free tolerance range without the need for surface treatment techniques.

Sheet Metal Parts

In the sheet metal processing industry, processing accuracy refers to the actual value of the relevant workpiece, including dimensions, geometric shapes, and the mutual position of each surface after processing, as well as the degree to which the ideal geometric parameter requirements for pre design are achieved.

Processing accuracy usually includes dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy, and positional accuracy. Dimensional accuracy is used to limit the range of dimensional errors between the machined surface and its reference, shape accuracy is used to limit the macroscopic geometric errors of the machined surface, and position accuracy is used to limit the mutual positional errors of the machined surfaces
